At Narrative, we identify and cater for the multitude of services, materials and requirements necessary for your home design & build. We then diagnose what degree of these resources are required for your project, and integrate them into our four stage process.
Once the project is finished, you'll have a complete design package for construction, clear and detailed cost estimates, and access to a wide range of building resources to help you start your construction project confidently.
Here is a breakdown of what our four phase process offers our clients:
FEASIBILITY
When chosen as your consultants, we'll schedule an on-site meeting with our design team to discuss your project in detail. From there, we'll develop a range of design concepts using 2D and 3D design tools to help explore optionality. Once these are finalised, we'll present them to you and proceed to the next phase of the project.

TARGETING
The Targeting phase focuses on refining our design concept. Using the information gathered during feasibility, we'll create a detailed development plan that balances design goals with budget constraints. We'll analyse various options for materials, construction methods, and other factors to determine the most cost-effective approach. Once we've finalised the design and cost estimate, the targeting phase is complete.

DEVELOPMENT
The Development phase delves deeper into the project's design details. We'll focus on specific elements like finishes, electrical and plumbing layouts, construction techniques, and regulatory compliance. Planning is also a critical component as we prepare the design package for submission, if required. Our advanced costing tools will track changes and modifications throughout the process, ensuring you're always informed about how design decisions affect the project budget.

DETAILING
It’s time to finalise the design & cost information for construction. We'll create a comprehensive package that includes detailed specifications, materials lists, and accurate cost estimates. This information is essential for clients who are ready to tender for construction services. We'll also ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and develop a construction schedule. With this comprehensive package, our clients can then confidently move forward with the building phase.
